Antee mark: a stack of counters with one pushed in beside it
Settled this week 412 pots Antee

Three people drop out at six. You still pay for ten.

You booked the pitch, you put the $120 on your own card, and the group chat went quiet at half five. Antee holds a small ante from everyone who said yes. Turn up and it comes straight back, with a cut of whatever the no-shows left behind.

Where the two forfeited antes went

10 antes at $12.00 held: $120.00 2 no shows forfeit: $24.00 $24.00 split 8 ways: $3.00 each 8 players returned $15.00: $120.00 Held $120.00, paid out $120.00, retained $0.00

The Antee team sheet open on a laptop beside a phone showing a player's ante held and an I'm here button
The host watches the sheet settle itself. Everyone else gets one button.
What if the whole thing is called off
The host cancels the pot and every ante returns in full. A forfeit only ever triggers against a player, never against a game that did not happen.
Who decides that I showed up
You do. Open the pot at the venue and press the button inside the window the host set. Nobody marks you absent, and the host cannot mark you absent either.
What stops the host keeping the money
The split is written into the pot when it is created and runs on its own. The host has no claim on the forfeits, which is why the sheet above pays out every cent it held.
Is $12 really worth the bother
The ante is not the point. A booking that charges nothing for dropping out gets dropped out of, and one that charges $12 gets a text on Tuesday instead of silence at half five.

Standing games

Holders open a pot that re-arms itself. The Thursday game sets its own sheet every week and settles without anyone reopening it.

An attendance record you keep

Every settled pot writes to your wallet, so a group you have never played with can see you have never once left them short.

Forfeits fund the pool

A slice of every forfeit buys into the rewards pool that pays the people who turn up, so the habit funds itself rather than a fee line.
